Adam Parsons runs one of the worlds most successful management agencies – Siren Artist Management Inc – that specifically focus on developing classic rock bands.

Starting out as a drummer in local acts around Nottingham in the U.K. Adam quickly realised that his skills lay in organisation and planning having taken the reins in that department with every band he joined. After an initial stint in London managing Stevie James from Tigertailz, he progressed into larger firms including being part of the management team for Motörhead and tour managing acts like Queens Of the Stone Age.

To date his acts include Black Star Riders, Saxon, Europe, Uriah Heep and Tax The Heat.

His skills are multitude but as ever it’s about the man and his natural ability to communicate and work closely with others.

In this frank and revealing interview Adam describes his personal journey and philosophical approach to working as a manager in the ever changing and currently incredibly challenging music business.

In my new series of podcasts – TOBY AND THE WHOLE TRUTH – I seek to uncover the reality of what it means to live and work as a successful person in the real music business. I’ve interviewed characters from every sector of this crazy yet obsessively addictive world to try uncover what it really takes to reach beyond the dream, step out of the garage and bedroom to escape the ‘normal’ world and become a success against the odds in the most competitive business there is.
